Area Sales Manager

For Petrolvalves Group we are looking for Area Sales Manager:

The Area Sales Manager will oversee and direct all Sales activities for Project, MRO and Aftermarket. Will lead a team of sales (outside and inside) professionals. Will drive all the Business Development opportunities for the control valves in the area of responsibility. The position requires a highly motivated person and the main responsibility is the growth, development and relationship building with customers.

Their role will also includes leading and mentoring his team, developing a professional and proactive sales culture with focus on strategic selling, end user relations and growth. He/She will own the forecasting process and maintain an operating rhythm with his team to ensure business growth is tracked accurately and is managed well.

       

In particular, the candidate will:

  • Work with all the selling team to develop strategies for market penetration in his territories;
  • Works with the Sales and Finance departments to develop and administer the company’s sales forecast;
  • Work with factories to meet customers’ requirements and to develop sales monthly forecast;
  • Works with the Legal department to negotiate commercial terms and conditions;
  • Streamline process between sales and operations;
  • Act as a champion of compliance policy;
  • Understand the customer and country dynamics through direct interactions. Develops and lead a growth strategy that balances the focus on MRO / Project / Aftermarket.
  • Visit end user customers / contractors regularly, conduct site surveys, generate new leads/opportunities, and lead preparation of budgetary proposals, secure budget at customer and work through the commercial process until order closure.
  • Take care of bid and sales proposals. Provides technical and commercial support selling Control Valves
  • Represent the company in front of customers and own the internal coordination with Inside Sales, / Aftermarket/Operations/Projects team.

    

The ideal applicant has a background in Engineering or Business and has been working for a few years as Sales or held a similar role in the Sales Department in a big company, preferably operating with control valve products.

The applicant is highly interested in jobs where the technical aspects and the relationship with the Client are equally important; communication and negotiation skills, solid experience of project selling activity, previous selling experience in a multinational valve and process control company dealing with the Oil & Gas / Power Generation industries,  are essential requirements. 

Solid power and oil & gas industries business knowledge, with a great ability to negotiate and strong commercial and business acumen and understanding are also appreciated.
